Francisco McCurry teaches English 10 at ECHS. He has worked in education for nearly a decade. Francisco is at ECHS because he believes sharing the tools to read and write ourselves into the future is an essential part of the project towards justice and liberation.
Francisco’s fiction, literary criticism, and music reviews have been published at Queen Mob’s Teahouse, Lunch Ticket, Buzzfeed, 5th Element, and PIMB. Francisco is a graduate of Humboldt State and holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Ethnic Studies. He also is a graduate of Antioch University Los Angeles and holds an MFA in Creative Writing.
Francisco is a native of Los Angeles County. He was raised in Van Nuys and grew up in Palmdale.
