Jessica Diaz

Jessica Diaz teaches Environmental Science teacher at ECHS. She has been with ECS since 2015. Jessica has been teaching for the past 6 years in both the Bay Area and other parts of LA. She has been a teacher coach for the past 3 years and helps with the Green Ambassadors Institute.

Previously Jessica worked at the Lawrence Hall of Science at UC Berkeley developing and implementing science research curriculum with the East Bay Academy for Young Scientists. Jessica is at ECS because she believes it is important to learn how human activity impacts the earth and our communities. She also believes students are part of the community that will find solutions to some of our toughest problems in the coming years.

Jessica attended Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage and earned a B.S. in Environmental Science. She worked at ECHS in 2001 as an outdoor leadership instructor and in 2004 as an AVID tutor. She then studied International Development Technology at Humboldt State University. Jessica is a native of Inglewood, CA and loves spending time at the beach and mountains with her husband and daughter.
